Hey there pretty girls!
If I have to choose only ONE product in the whole wide world to do my makeup with for the rest of my life, it would definitely be a MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot.
First of all, you can use all of them as a base for your eyeshadow and it will stay put for the rest of the day without creasing or you could just use it as an eyeshadow color on its own. I do have a lot of them and here I will show you my favorite ones and what I use them for.
The perfect base for most skin tones unless you are very pale and yellow-toned. I use it every single day, even when I’m not wearing makeup because it just evens out my skin tone. Perfection!
2. Bare study:
The perfect champagne color. Shimmery but a great color for everyday use.
I bought this color only a year ago, it is absolutely perfect for those spring, summer and autumn moods where I like to play with orange, pinks and corals. Not very opaque and a bit shimmery.
I just… I can’t. I absolutely LOVE this shade, it just looks like fun, summer and love to me. I love the color and the texture, I use is mostly under coraly/summery looks but also when I do a neutral brown eye to just give it a softer background. LOVE!!
Anyone who like a neutral or a smokey eye should have this color. It is matte and slightly darker than my skin tone, more on the brown side but absolutely perfect for a quick neutral look.
6. Frozen violet:
I love to use this one under a greyish/brownish smokey eye look. It’s not very opaque and quite shimmery but it’s the perfect mix of grey and violet and looks great with blue-green eyes!
Dark brown color with a red tint. Love it especially for lining my upper lash line with a smudge brush and giving me a soft brown smokey eye. Major love!
8. For effect:
I love this color. However, I would have liked it way better if it would have been more opaque. It is very shimmery and light and actually perfect as a base. I like to use more product to get the desired dark grey look, otherwise it is a bit transparent but since it is buildable and very beautiful, it is one of my favorites, too.
Here are some swatches so you can see the differences and also the different textures:
Let me know, do you have any Paint Pots? If yes, which colors do you like best?
