Hey there pretty girls!
You all know by now that I love some pink in my life (more like almost errrrrday in one way or another) and when I saw this color I was like “I NEED this in my life, ASAP!”. This MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick in the color Ladies Who Lunch is the most beautiful, every day pink color that is perfect for every occasion.
Since it is a mineralize rich lipstick, it is very creamy and glossy, not very opaque and therefore also not very long lasting. After a few hours it looks more like a stain / lip balm than an actual lipstick. Since it is so glossy and creamy, it doesn’t dry out your lips at all and gives them a fuller, more youthful look and it feels absolutely amazing on the lips.
The color itself is not a bold, crazy pigmented pink color, on only one swipe it is actually rather sheer. In my opinion, it has a bit of a purple undertone which makes it easier to wear than a straight Barbie-pink color. The color is buildable which means you get a more opaque color if you apply more than just one layer and it’ll give you great naturally pink lips.
In this picture below, you have the lipstick alone with no lip liner or anything else whatsoever. As you can see, it looks kind of glossy and creamy and makes the lips look fuller because of the consistency of the product.
But in this picture below, I wore it with the MAC Pro Longwear lip liner in the color Shock Value (read my review on this one here) and as you can see, the lips looks WAY more defined and the contour looks way better with a lip liner. Also, since the lip liner is a pro longwear product, it stays on for a few hours (and by that I mean like 8-10 hours!!!) so I like to not only line my lips with it but also fill them out and only then apply the lipstick on top of it. Therefore, when the lipstick is gone and it sheers out during the day, I still have the color from the lip liner on my lips and my lips don’t look “naked” in the middle of the day.
How do you like this color? Do you like it better with the lip liner or alone? Do you like these kind of creamy lipsticks or do you prefer the more opaque ones?
