Hey there pretty girls!
Do you know that feeling when you feel like a princess from another era? That’s how this shoot felt to me. I wanted to recreate a black and white old hollywood glam look. The liner, the lashes, the accessories, everything was just perfect. Add some music to it and I can have a small dance party while taking pictures on my own!
This time I just couldn’t choose 4 or 5 pictures sooo… you’ll get to see 9 pictures this time. You’re welcome! :)
I opted for a rather clean look, no blush, just contour because if you put blush and take a black and white picture, you won’t see the difference between blush and contour. Since you are working for a black and white picture, you have to choose rather dark colors and preferably anything in shades of grey – dark red lips, black eyeliner, dark contour and so on – since any other colors than grey/black hinted products will not be visible on the picture.
I didn’t want to use products only for the B&W pics because I also wanted to have some in color so I just used darker colors to get a similar effect.
Thank you to my dear friend Silvi who let me borrow these beautiful accessories from her to make these pictures look even more like the real deal.
And since I didn’t want to do a classic version of it, I added the dark smokey grey eyeshadow on the lower lash line for a more dramatic smokey effect. I kind of like this modern twist on this classic look.
For the lips I used a brown lip liner and a brown lipstick and on top of it a dark red-plum lipstick. I didn’t want a matte look but also not a glossy look so I chose something in between.
That cute little beauty mark on my cheekbone was something I wanted to do in a makeup look for so long so that was definitely a must while doing this look.
Here I have a picture from my other cam where you can see the makeup more up-close. Of course, it was a perfect look to wear with glasses for a sexy touch and let’s just say… my boyfriend really enjoyed the whole look ;)
What do you think of this look? How do you guys like it and what are your thoughts on a hollywood glam makeup look? What is a must for you when you think of such a look?
