Hey there pretty girls!
With the weather changing and Spring knocking on our door (or more like, on our window), it is definitely the best time to take a little more time for our skin care to get ourselves ready to rock some gorgeous nail polishes, sandals and to show off our gorgeous legs. So, this is what I do to give my skin an extra boost, here’s my hydration 101 guide:
This is what I use (also during the rest of the year but especially during a transition time between colder and warmer seasons and vice versa):
- Neutrogena Hand Cream (concentrated formula)*
- Neutrogena Foot Cream*
- Neutrogena Intense Repair Body Lotion
- Origins GinZing face mask
- La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Spray*
Neutrogena describes this hand cream as:
Instant relief of dry, chapped hands – Just a dab need. Immediate and lasting relief for even the most dry hands. Just a dab of this glycerin-enriched formula instantly relieves and protects seriously or chapped hands. Even under the harshest conditions, it leaves hands noticeably softer smoother. Concentrated for over 200 applications.
I must admit, this handcream is incredible. It feels very smooth and velvety on the skin but soaks into the skin very fastly and leaves kind of like a film on your hands so they feel amazing for a long time afterwards. There’s definitely a difference between the concentrated and the normal formula but this one I like best since it soaks into the skin so fastly. I usually apply it at night (because in the morning I simply forget) and sometimes during the day when I’m at home and my hands feel dry.
I also love Neutrogena’s foot cream because of it’s very moisturizing and rich formula. It is not a concentrated cream but I don’t mind that at all in a foot cream, for me it’s the richer the better so this one is just perfect for those long days after work where my feet need a bit of relief.
This cream I apply only at night and I usually wear a pair of thick socks (except during Summer) over it so it can really sink in until the morning hours. I apply it not only on my soles but also on my ankles because the soft feeling of this cream is just amazing!
For my skin, I recently discovered the Neutrogena Intense Repair body lotion after I searched for something very moisturizing because my skin was very dry during Winter and I came across this one and of course, just like the other Neutrogena products, it did not dissapoint. I must admit, I am pretty lazy with body lotion but I try to use it at least 2 or 3 times a week and when I’m wearing something short so that my legs and my arms don’t look dry and dehydrated.
This body lotion is described as:
NEUTROGENA NORWEGIAN FORMULA® Intense Repair Body Lotion is specially formulated to intensely moisturise from the very first use. The creamy, non-greasy texture is lightly fragranced and absorbs easily to instantly relieve discomfort and help to repair very dry skin. It acts as a regenerating moisture ‘bandage’* to relieve and help repair very dry and irritated skin providing comfort after just 1 application.
The Origins GinZing refreshing face mask I also discovered this Winter because I needed something more intense and refreshing for that dull looking Winter skin. On the Origins website it is described as:
Give dull, tired skin an extra boost with this icy cool gel mask. Coffee Beans energize. Cucumber refreshes. Hoelen Mushroom soothes. Skin’s get-up-and-glow is rapidly restored.
I usually apply it on days when I don’t have to go to work early in the morning so I can really let it sink into the skin for about 10-15 minutes and then I wipe it off and go on with my makeup routine.
Lastly, the life saver on every occasion is my La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water spray.
Soothes sensitive skin irritated by outside factors (sun, dermatological treatments, etc.) and helps prevent skin ageing. The unique combination of minerals and trace elements, such as Selenium, give La Roche-Posay thermal spring water scientifically-proven soothing, softening and anti-oxidant properties. Strict formula charter to minimise the risk of intolerance. Suitable for adults and babies.
This product is simply amazing and I have used it for years and years. After sun exposal, for dry skin, after hair removal, if my face feels tired and dry and everytime I need an extra boost of hydration. When I’m not at home, I always carry either a small bottle of this thermal water or a small Fix+ spray with me if I feel the need to spray some on the go.
With these main products (and a few others which I sometimes switch up) I keep my skin from head to toe hydrated especially when I need it the most.
What are some of your go-to products for keeping your skin hydrated? Do you know some of these products and do you also use them or do you have any recommendation of products I should definitely check out?
