I am back with a throwback post on my summer holiday in Sicily this past August. We have spend this past summer holiday in the beautiful town of Giardini Naxos, near the very picturesque Taormina in Sicily. Prepare yourself for a ton of pictures and enjoy :)
It was also the first time I flew with Lexie so that was more stressful for me than it was for her but all in all a great experience and I love that she could travel with us so that I didn’t have to leave her for those two weeks.
We enjoyed a great boat trip around the island where we could see the true beauty of this place and we took a few beautiful pictures that captured everything our eyes could see.
We also went with Lexie to the beach one night to see how she likes being in the sand and in the water and we had an absolute blast! She was running around like crazy and just enjoying herself while I couldn’t stop enjoying that moment with her tiny feet in the sand <3
And miss Lexie joined us at the pool one day, as well, of course.. :)
Beautiful city of Taormina and the view over the coast, at night..
… while we took our sightseeing tour on a hop on hop off bus to see the surroundings.
I actually lived on cream coffee at the beach – every day, for 14 days, it was the best part of every day :)
We also went out on a few nights at some great clubs in Giradini and Taormina, to dance the night off..
And on our last day at the beach, we finished this great holiday by seeing the sunrise at the beach and feeling the magic right before our eyes..
It is never easy so many different people being together 24/7 since we all have so separate and different lives but I feel that some time spent together can bring out the best and worst in you but you still have to find a way to find to get along.
It was a magical time, a great two weeks, and the surroundings made everything that much more beautiful. It was such a different side of Italy that I did not know and gladly discovered in these two weeks.
Have you ever been to that part of Italy? If yes, which places did you go to and how did you like it there?
See you soon!
